BOSTON PIZZA ROYALTIES INCOME FUND ANNOUNCES 6.5% INCREASE

TO MONTHLY CASH DISTRIBUTIONS TO UNITHOLDERS

February 2012 distribution increased to 9.8 cents from 9.2 cents

VANCOUVER, BC, March 8, 2012 - Boston Pizza Royalties Income Fund (the “Fund”) (TSX: BPF.UN) announced today a cash distribution to unitholders of 9.8 cents per unit for February 2012. This is an increase of 0.6 cents per unit from the previous monthly rate of 9.2 cents per unit or $1.104 per unit on an annualized basis to 9.8 cents per unit or $1.176 per unit on an annualized basis.

“We are very pleased that Boston Pizza’s strong same store sales growth momentum from 2011 has continued into 2012, enabling the trustees of the fund to increase monthly distributions to unitholders,” said Mark Pacinda, President and CEO of Boston Pizza International. “This increase of 6.5% marks the second time that monthly distributions to unitholders have been increased in the last year and the 15th time that the monthly rate has been increased since the inception of the Fund in 2002.”

The distribution will be payable to unitholders of record at the close of business on March 21, 2012 and will be paid on March 30, 2012.  The Fund periodically reviews distribution levels based on its policy of stable and sustainable distribution flow to unitholders.
